Items you will need:
- cake covered in green fondant
- 2 green fondant
- 1 black fondant
- 1 pink fondant
- 1 yellow fondant
- 4 thick toothpicks
- 1 skinny toothpick
- flower cutter
Step 1
To create a cactus arm, use your hands to form an oval with one of the green fondant packets.
Step 2
Slightly flatten out the oval and insert two thick toothpicks into one end.
Step 3
Repeat this step with the other ball of green fondant.
Step 4
Use the skinny toothpick to gently press against the cake and the two cactus arms to create the look of spines.
Step 5
Once the cake and arms are covered in spines, attach the arms to the side of the cake.
Step 6
Use your hands to roll one small ball of black fondant into a rope. Taper one end and curve the entire piece. Flip the tapered side up to form the eye.
Step 7
Repeat this step to form a second eye and attach both to the cake.
Step 8
Use your hands to roll another small ball of black fondant into a rope. Curve it into a “U” shape to form the mouth and attach to the cake.
Step 9
Use your hands to roll two small balls of pink fondant into ovals. Flatten out the ovals to form the cheeks and attach them to the cake.
Step 10
Roll out the remaining pink fondant and cut out four flowers.
Step 11
Attach the flowers to the crook of the arms.
Step 12
Use your hands to roll four small balls of yellow fondant for the centers of the flowers and attach to the flowers.
