Items you will need:
- cake covered in brown fondant
- 2 brown fondant
- 1 black fondant
- 1 white fondant
- 1 red fondant
- toothpick
- circle cutter
- cutting tool
- edible black marker
Step 1
Roll out the brown and black fondant, and cut two medium sized circles for the ears.
Step 2
Fold the circles over the sides of the cake to form the ears.
Step 3
Roll out the black fondant again, and cut a large circle to form the open mouth.
Step 4
Roll out the brown fondant again and cut two identical large teardrop shapes to form the muzzle. Attach to the cake with the tips of the large teardrops touching where the nose will be located.
Step 5
Use the toothpick to indent little holes into the muzzle.
Step 6
Use your hands to roll a small piece of black fondant into an oval and shape it into a little nose.
Step 7
Use your hands to roll two small pieces of black fondant into balls and then flatten each out to form the eyes.
Step 8
Use your hands to roll two very tiny balls of white fondant and attach them to each of the eyes to form the twinkle.
Step 9
Use your hands to roll a piece of red fondant into an oval and flatten it out. Cut one side flat and attach to the mouth to form the tongue. You can use the toothpick to draw a line down the middle of the tongue.
Step 10
Use your hands to roll the red fondant into one long rope and attach to the bottom of the cake to form the collar.
Step 11
Take a small section of your white fondant and add a pinch of black fondant to it. Knead them together until it becomes grey. Roll out the grey fondant and cut the shape of the dog bone and name tag. Use the edible marker to write the dog’s name.
Step 12
Use your hands to sculpt the remaining white fondant into a dog bone and the remaining red fondant into a toy ball.
