Items you will need:
- cake covered in brown fondant
- 1 brown fondant
- 1 yellow fondant
- 1 pink fondant
- 1 light blue fondant
- 1 black buttercream
- 2 oreo crumbs
- 5-petal flower cutters (small and medium)
- small circle cutter
- pizza cutter
- leaf cutter
- popsicle stick
Mix the black buttercream and use your popsicle stick to spread it over the top of the cake.
Roll out the brown fondant with your rolling pin. Use the pizza cutter to cut one long strip.
Wrap the strip around the top of the cake to form the rim of the flower pot (if you are having trouble making your strip long enough, you can break it up into two pieces).
Spread the oreo crumbs over the black buttercream to make the soil.
Roll out the pink fondant and follow the “How To Make A Rose” step-by-step to create 4-5 roses (save the remaining pink fondant).
Arrange the roses in the pot.
Roll out the yellow and blue fondant, and cut out some small and medium sized 5-petal flowers.
Mix together the remaining fondant to form other colors (Ex: pink + yellow = orange; yellow + light blue = green; light blue + pink = purple).
Roll out the orange and purple fondant and cut out some small and medium sized 5-petal flowers.
Arrange the flowers in the pot and against the base of the pot. Use the q-tip to push down the centers of the flowers to give them more lift.
Roll out the green fondant and cut out some leaves. Arrange the leaves around the flowers.
