Items you will need:
- cake covered in light blue fondant
- 1 pink fondant
- 2 white fondant
- 1 brown fondant
- black edible marker
- large heart cutter
- cutting tool
- flower cutters
Mix one white fondant packet and a dime size piece of the pink together to form light pink. Roll out the remaining pink fondant and light pink fondant. Cut a heart out of each color.
Use your cutting tool to cut a curve down the middle of both hearts. Piece two halves of each heart together like a puzzle.
Roll two small balls of each color into little football shapes. Connect them to form the beak.
Roll two small balls of each color into teardrop shapes. Indent three lines in each to form the wings.
Roll three tiny balls of each color into teardrop shapes. Connect the bottoms to form the hair.
Draw the eyes with edible marker. Then attach the birds to the cake.
Roll out the brown fondant and cut a branch shape. Attach the branch to the cake right above the birds’ tails, leaving a little bit of tail showing.
Use the toothpick to make groves in the branch so it looks like wood.
Add on the little bird feet by rolling out small balls of fondant into tiny ropes and attach them in pairs of two on the branch.
Use your hands to roll out a portion of the brown fondant into a rope and place along the base of the cake.
Use the remaining brown fondant to create smaller branches coming off of the long rope.
Roll out the remaining pink and light pink fondant and cut out different sized flowers.
Attach the flowers onto the branch.
Make small balls of pink and light pink to create the centers of the flowers.
